Creating Collaborative and Coordinated Systems for Family and Community Engagement – Engagement versus Involvement

This presentation will share intentional practices in creating collaborative and coordinated systems between the school, families, and the community. The participants will learn through practice how to build a team of school staff, families, stakeholders, and community members. They will leave with tools and resources on how to work collaboratively when planning, implementing, and continuously improving schools, families and community engagement practices leading to positive outcomes for all.

Stephanie Ries is a seasoned professional with over 26 years of experience in the field of education. She currently holds multiple esteemed positions that reflect her depth of knowledge and dedication to the field. As a faculty member at Ball State University and an adjunct faculty at Ivy Tech Community College, she imparts her expertise to aspiring educators. In addition, Stephanie serves as an Educational Consultant with Soar Education Consultant Services, where she provides valuable guidance and support to educational institutions. Her role as a Professional Development (PD) Specialist with The Council for Professional Recognition further showcases her commitment to advancing the standards of early childhood education. She is also recognized as a Nationally Focused Child Development Associate (NF CDA) Instructor with Indiana AEYC, contributing significantly to the professional development of early childhood educators.
