United Way of Grant County is pleased to announce the naming of LeeAnna Smith as the organization’s new Executive Director. United Way of Grant County’s Board of Directors conducted an extensive nationwide search, receiving applications from many qualified candidates – both inside and outside the state.
“After a broad search drawing national interest, we are very excited for LeeAnna to lead the next chapter of United Way of Grant County.” said Rob Keisling, Board President. “LeeAnna’s background in fundraising and commitment to the community gives us strong confidence in her future success.”
For the past six years, Smith served as the Director of Development for the Grant County Rescue Mission, increasing the presence and funding of the GCRM to enable the organization to better serve those in need in Grant County. “We are so thankful for the years LeeAnna served the GCRM.” said Rick Berbereia, Executive Director of the Grant County Rescue Mission. “She has been an integral part in growing our ministry over the past six years. We pray that God blesses her in her new position and look forward to working together, serving our Grant County community.”
Smith is also involved in other local organizations including the Marion-Grant County Chamber of Commerce and the Gas City Area Chamber of Commerce. She is a Grant County native raising her two young daughters with her husband, Nathan Smith.
“The opportunity to serve this community as the Executive Director of United Way of Grant County is an incredible honor.” Smith commented, “I am excited to build upon the good work the United Way has done for many years in Grant County, creating a caring community that improves and enriches the lives of all of its citizens. I am grateful for my time at the Grant County Rescue Mission and am looking forward to using the skills I’ve developed there to lead United Way of Grant County.”
Smith will begin as Executive Director of United Way of Grant County on Monday, September 12.
